AI810 3BSE008516R1 ABB 8-Channel High-Performance Analog Input Module
Description:
The ABB AI810 is a high-performance analog input module in the S800 I/O series. It can receive analog signals output by various sensors in the industrial environment and serve as the data acquisition front-end for process control.
The AI810 has 8 individual input channels. Each channel can be independently configured as an analog current or voltage input through software, allowing for flexible adaptation to different sensor types without the need to replace hardware.

Product advantages:
High reliability: When the power supply of the transmitter shorts to the signal terminal, the module will not be damaged, reducing equipment damage and maintenance costs caused by improper operation.
Flexible configuration: 8 channels can be set as either current or voltage input. The same module can simultaneously connect different types of sensors, reducing the variety of spare parts and facilitating on-site modifications. The module supports hot swapping, allowing for replacement during system operation without affecting production.
Application scenarios: In process industries such as petrochemicals, power, metallurgy, and water treatment, it is used to collect process variables such as temperature, pressure, level, and flow. It can also be used for equipment status monitoring on production lines.
Operating Instructions
Installation and Wiring: The module must be installed on the corresponding terminal unit of the S800 series. The analog signal lines should use twisted-pair shielded cables, with the shielded layer grounded at one end on the control cabinet side to reduce electromagnetic interference.
Configuration and Debugging: In the ABB configuration tool, configure the signal type and range for each channel. After powering on, check the status lights on the front panel. A running light indicates normal operation, while a fault or warning light indicates a disconnected channel, signal overrun, or abnormal power supply.
Daily Maintenance: Regularly check the tightness of the wiring terminals and the grounding of the shield. The module supports hot swapping. It is recommended to wear an anti-static wrist strap when operating. If the signal of a certain channel is abnormal, prioritize troubleshooting the signal lines and grounding issues, and then consider replacing the module.
